Development Officer (60% - 80%)

Join our team and be responsible for managing our membership program. The membership program is comprised of lower level and mid-level giving.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, lead and implement growth, acquisition, renewal and engagement plans for members, focusing on a multi-channel written and digital communications approach

  • Manage event registration and post-event emails and reporting

  • Oversee and champion our member database and its ongoing operation

  • Cultivate members through direct engagement at member events

  • You are responsible for the annual membership targets

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support our Co-Executive Director in cultivating, maintaining and advancing relationships with corporations, institutions and major donors

  • Give support in prospect research and visit preparation

  • Perform any other duties related to the functions above

PROFILE

The person who will best succeed in this role, the ideal candidate:

  • Feels a real sense of ownership to get things done

  • Uses creative ideas and works focused on the goal

  • Is a problem-solver at heart – constantly assessing how processes could be improved

  • Is organized and is experienced in handling multiple projects running in parallel

  • Has at least three to five years’ experience in fundraising and knowledge of interacting with members and donors

  • Has strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal skills in English and German (English as a mother tongue is a plus)

  • Has experience in inbound marketing, digital & social media marketing and cloud-based CRM solutions such as Salesforce

  • Has lived and/or worked in Asia and is passionate about Asia
