About NGO Management Association (NMA)

The NGO Management Association (NMA) and its school assist non-profit organisations to optimise their performance and impact. Since 2007, we have carried out courses, consultancy and coaching in more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. We are a non-profit organisation and self-financed.

Description

Under the supervision of NMA’s training director, the volunteer will participate in the development and execution of our digital Marketing & Communication strategy, promoting courses, coaching and consultancy to international organisations globally. This unpaid volunteer position is for a period of three months and can be extended.

If you are an enthusiastic, hands-on, digitally savvy self-starter, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the successful development of our services and acquire significant NGO experience. The tasks include in particular:

Responsibilities

Development of strategy

• Participate in the development of NMA’s international Marketing and Communication strategy. Participate in the development and execution of relevant objectives and plan of action.

Implementation of plan of action

• Develop and maintain an Account Based Marketing strategy with International Non-Profit Organizations being the primary audience.

  • Design and execute creative digital campaigns to generate interest on NMA services and nurture existing customers. Use Google Ads, SEO and other awareness/lead generation campaigns.

  • Use NMA’s social media accounts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter to promote our services, increase community engagement and reply to inquiries. Create compelling content and facilitate storytelling, both written stories and creatives.

  • Prepare the monthly newsletter and analyse its results. Be a source of inspiration to colleagues to bring it to the next level.

  • Provide guidance and support on website enhancement, maintenance and new functionality.

  • Measure, report and continuously improve digital tactics.

  • Join calls and meetings with potential clients and new partners. Report back on findings and make recommendations on how to further improve our services. Ensure that related administrative matters are handled efficiently, jointly with other team members.

  • Contact partner organisations, inquirers, and participants of previous courses to assess their needs and propose NMA’s services.

Requirements

  • Excellent English skills, written and spoken, very good French; Spanish a plus.

  • Proven track-record in Digital Marketing, Communications and Social Media (LinkedIn campaigns a plus) a must have.

  • High level of autonomy and motivation, flexibility and good time management; excellent organization skills, solid verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Other tools (MailChimp, Live Chat, Wix, Google Ads, Google Analytics) are highly appreciated.

  • Previous work experience in a non-profit organisation.

  • A great creative mind, able to be analytical and agile at the same time. Ability to work well in a multicultural and collaborative team.

This volunteer position provides you with an excellent opportunity to be in contact with organisations worldwide and to obtain management-level work experience in a small internationally active NGO. Details

The position is voluntary (unpaid) and part-time (around 8-12 hours/week); working remotely; flexible schedule, which can be adapted to your other activities. Work-related expenses are covered. A letter of reference will be provided at the end of the term.
