PROGRAMME MANAGER INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS (80-100%)

Biovision was founded in 1998 by Swiss entomologist and Right Livelihood Award laureate Hans Rudolf Her-ren. Our projects and initiatives help to improve the lives of farming families and protect the environment. We focus on agroecology – a holistic approach that includes sustainable farming methods, socially responsible business practices, and inclusive dialogue in the policy space. In this way, we address global challenges such as hunger, climate change, and biodiversity loss. Our goal: a future-proof food system.

For our medium-sized, well-positioned NGO, we are looking for a committed personality as

PROGRAMME MANAGER INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS 80-100%
Maternity Leave Cover from July 2026 until January 2027

In this role, you will contribute significantly to the activities of the International Partnerships team and ensure a seamless continuation of the Programme Managers’ work. Your main tasks include:

  • Management, coordination and further development of a portfolio of projects and programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa, including collaboration with other departments and related processes
  • Country lead Kenya, topical lead for environmental topics, and key account for the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe)
  • Management and coordination of activities related to the global dissemination of knowledge generated through projects and programmes
  • Contribution to the development of new project, programme, and collaboration models for the global scaling of agroecological best practices from our project and programme portfolio
  • Leading the Strategic Initiatives Learning Communities (SILC) for the thematic areas
    “Development of agroecological production systems / Research” and “Dissemination of agroecological knowledge”
  • Providing feedback and support across the entire department
  • Participation in cross‑departmental tasks as required
  • Relationship management, networking, representation at events and conferences

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated team player with the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in natural sciences, agronomy or similar
  • At least 5 years of professional experience with a focus on sustainable agriculture, agroecology, nature conservation, or similar fields; experience in the tropics is an advantage
  • Experience in project and programme management
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, conceptual and presentation skills
  • Computer skills in standard Office applications
  • Proficiency in English (C1/C2) and good knowledge of German (B1)
  • Swiss passport or Swiss residence permit C / B

We offer a challenging position in a dynamic team and an innovative NGO with an annual salary between CHF 100,400 and CHF 110,400, adequate social security and a centrally located workplace in Zurich.
