The Europe/Africa Office, situated in Zurich, is part of the Rotary International Secretariat with its headquarters in Evanston, Illinois/USA. The mission of our 40 employees is to provide efficient and high-quality service to Rotarians in Europe and Africa and support them in attaining the objectives of Rotary.
Our Philanthropy and Grants team in Zurich is looking for two candidates for temporary positions to support the team during their peak season in 2026.
Temporary Advisor Italian speaking
(mid-March – mid-July 100%)
Your Duties
- Supporting the Rotary Philanthropy and Grants team by delivering excellent customer service, ensuring requests were processed in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Answering various enquiries from our Foundation donors regarding recognitions and contributions, via phone and email in several languages.
- Providing donors with status of requests, prioritizing urgent orders, and delivering reports upon request.
- Request/Order Management: Processing a high volume of requests (Foundation PHF recognitions) – verifying the correctness of data and entering orders into our system (Oracle PeopleSoft), sending confirmations to our Foundation donors, and archiving closed requests.
- Dealing with various tasks pertaining to the receipt of donations: checking wire transfers, preparing, and forwarding accurate documentation to our Finance Department and providing instructions for the bookkeeping entries.
- Managing master data (necessary updates on account information, corrections, identifying duplicate data).
- Forwarding recognition request forms to our Service Center in Pune (India) for processing and following up.
- Coordinating shipping of urgent requests with our donors and our Logistic team and tracking deliveries, to ensure delivery to donors on time.
What you bring
- Proficiency in English and Italian language is mandatory.
- Ability to handle customers with tact and diplomacy.
- Very good organizational and time management skills.
- Detail oriented and thorough.
- Capacity to work well under pressure.
- Capacity to work independently and as a team member.
- Good knowledge MSOffice products.
